The endangered Asian elephant is facing extinction. But luckily there are people like you on its side - and we can’t thank you enough for deciding to help.
Massive support from the public, companies and from trusts and foundations helped Elephant Family to invest over £6m in conservation of the endangered Asian elephant since our inception in 2002.
And that means we have the resources to make a real difference.
We work with local people and partner NGOs to step in where we are needed most: to protect habitat, prevent conflict and reconnect the forest homes of the endangered Asian elephant. This iconic animal faces an increasing number of threats every day - your support is vital to turn this around. Right now your funds are working to:
- Secure one of the world’s most important wildlife corridors for 6,500 elephants in Kerala, India
- Prevent elephant deaths due to trains in Assam and Kerala, India
- Prevent poaching and accidental electrocution in India
- Train local people in non-violent techniques to avoid conflict with wild elephants in India, Borneo & Sumatra
- Improve the welfare of captive elephants in Thailand and Sumatra
