Research & Education

Our approach to elephant conservation is always collaborative. In fact, we think that’s by far the best way to get things done.

We can help raise the profile of the endangered Asian elephant worldwide, and make its welfare an international conservation priority. But it’s our friends in Asia that have the local knowledge and cultural understanding to deliver projects on the ground – and ensure their long-term success.

We currently work in partnership with eight local NGOs across Asia to raise local awareness and rally a sustaibable in-country conservation movement.

Until recently, the plight of the Asian elephant was known only to its most devoted followers. Now we’re determined to make it top priority. We’re generating awareness with education programmes and publicity campaigns – both in Asia and also back home in Britain. We're also urging governments around the world to take action before it's too late. Please see our Survival Charter which outlines our plan of action to save this magnificent animal.
