Human-Elephant Co-existence

As their habitat becomes ever more fragile and fragmented, stressed and hungry elephants are increasingly forced onto agricultural land, tea gardens and human settlements.

They raid crops, damage property, and panic the local community. Every year, this results in casualties – sadly, both elephant and human. The once harmonious relationships between elephants and people are breaking down.

To avoid this, we secure corridors of land where elephants can roam freely – without interfering in man’s business – and work closely with local communities to keep the peace.
