Getting Along with Elephants - India, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Nepal.
Elephants and people are fighting over habitat space. Land management is the key to solving this problem through elephant corridors. But for local people to leave valuable areas of land for wildlife, it is important that they understand all the issues involved and agree with this solution.

elephant family is funding the production of educational programmes to be used in these localities. We provide information on human-elephant conflict, how it arises and advice on how best to act in these situations. The project is for the benefit of youngsters and laypeople in the affected regions.

Different kinds of educational material is being created: from informational leaflets to practical tips and workshops that explain the ecological, commercial and cultural significance of Asian elephants. After all, the survival of this endangered species greatly depends on the will of local people.
